Bob began his performance career at 14 and has been a professional entertainer for over six decades. In high school, he formed a garage band with fellow musicians, playing music at every opportunity. Bob's musical journey included stints with The Wonders, The Rumbles, Mecca, the Johnny Ray Gomez Revue, and he currently performs with The Grease Band and The Brits. He also has a solo act tailored for the senior audience. Renowned for his vocal range, dynamic personality, and ability to sing and play various instruments, Bob is a crowd favorite in any setting.
As a veteran of The Rumbles, Bob has earned spots in the Nebraska Music Hall of Fame, the Iowa Rock and Roll Music Association Hall of Fame, and the South Dakota Rock and Rollers Hall of Fame. His contributions with The Grease Band led to another induction into the Nebraska Music Hall of Fame. Additionally, he received an Honorary Doctorate Degree from the College of Music at the University of Okoboji.
Bob's solo performances showcase hits from legends like Louis Armstrong, Frank Sinatra, Elvis, and The Platters, alongside country and western tunes and select pieces from the 1920s and 1930s. He cleverly uses medleys to include more songs in each show. His bands have opened for iconic acts such as The Beach Boys, The Coasters, The Drifters, Marilyn May, The Harmonicats, The Four Seasons, The Mamas and Papas, Paul Revere and the Raiders, The Platters, Three Dog Night, Gary Lewis and the Playboys, and even Sally Rand, the famed fan dancer. His performances have graced stages throughout the United States.
